ABOUT ME
My name is Erin, and I am a military spouse mother of 3 with years of adulting under me so that....okay, no. That's not true. But it seems like all the military spouse blogs are of mothers with small children or champion women who have conquered the life for so long they just DIY everything with the spare time they don't have because they have attained supermom, superwoman status.
As for me, I'm just a newly married person trudging through a 3 1/2 year clinical mental health counseling graduate program (you mean you're getting a master's and it's not just 2 years? Why yes, yes that is the case...) that WILL BE WORTH IT. I love it, but it sometimes seems awfully long. I don't have kids, and I don't have pets, and though I love DIY hypothetically, there's only so much a girl can do. My man is lucky I've learned to cook things since we've been married! And I'm actually quite proud of my culinary accomplishments, even if the sides generally come in a can.
My husband has been to Iraq, but the deployment coming up this summer 2016 will be the first one we will conquer as a couple. I'm nervous, scared, excited, and looking forward to a new outlet. This is particularly important since I am very much a verbal processor and am anticipating times during deployment and leading up to it when I may want to spill what I'm thinking and feeling when I'm sitting at home with a pile of papers to grade or a list of assignments to do or just a late-night, no-friend-readily-available-at-my-beck-and-call sort of night. Check out the intro post to learn about the name if you're curious, and welcome to the Crisis. :)
I'm glad hubster is the one with the heavy lifting!
